Bald wird in Zürich das 100-Jahre-Dada-Jubiläum gefeiert und man wünscht sich nichts sehnlicher von der künstlerischen Leitung der kommenden Manifesta 11, als dass sie der Zwinglistadt endlich mal auf den Zahn fühlt. Was aber soll man davon halten, wenn der globale Kunsttross in Zürich halt macht? Was verbirgt sich hinter dem Brand „Kunststadt Zürich“? Wie werden die Rollen im Global Art Game verteilt und wer legt bei diesem Spiel (zu)meist oben drauf? Und was hat das überhaupt mit Zürich Altstetten und der sogenannten Aufwertung zu tun?
Es interessieren folglich mehr Fragen als Antworten. Die Veranstaltung findet im Rahmen von Wem gehört Zürich? statt. Alle Interessierten sind herzlich eingeladen auch mit ihren Fragen teilzunehmen.

In 2016, the 100-year anniversary of Dada will be celebrated in Zurich. Many are in high hopes that the artistic direction of Manifesta 11 – which is also taking place in 2016 – will critically examine and challenge the „Zwinglistadt“. What should one think when the circulating carousel of global art community makes a stop in Zürich? What lurks in the shadows when a city, such as Zürich, is branded an „Art City”? On this occasion how will the pieces of the Global Art Game be locally distributed? Who will come out on top? Finally, what does this celebration have to do with the upcoming increases in property and culture “value” in the Altstetten quarter of Zürich?
